I am delighted to be bringing my Mysteriosa show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year. The show combines many of my loves including stage magic, storytelling, the paranormal and family history. The show has been a continuing project over a number of years and it a wonderful mix of bizarre magic and a brief exploration of life beyond the veil.
I will be performing in the basement lounge of The Street (2b Picardy Place, Edinburgh EH1 3JT) a lovely Bar, Eatery and Venue that is very close to the Edinburgh Playhouse and a short walk from Waverley Station. It is on between the 4th and 24th of August (not the 17th) at 14.45 for 60 minutes.
I have performed at the Edinburgh Fringe for the past two years, both as part of the Street Festival and last year taking our First Aid For Wizards show for a single week. This is the first time I will have done the whole run with my own show and it's very exciting. I hope to see many of you there.
I am able to take the show thanks to the work of the volunteers of the PBH Free Fringe. They work tirelessly to enable people to bring their show to the Fringe without having to pay to hire the room, something that can be prohibitive to many. I love the ethos of PBH and there is a brilliant honesty to doing a show, and then asking your audience for a donation, in place of buying a ticket. Just like when I perform on the street, no need to buy a ticket, just turn up, sit down and enjoy a great show.
I'm looking forward to seeing you in August and sending a delicious shiver down your spine with my spooky and bizarre stories.
